LIFEGUARD STATION AT BELMONT PARK -
As you are probably aware the lifeguard station at Belmont Park is crumbling and may soon be judged unsafe to occupy. The Fire & Rescue Department has coordinated with the Engineering and Capital Projects Department to begin the process of acquiring an emergency contractor with the goal of designing and conducting emergency repairs via a Capital Improvement Project.
The Active Transportation and Infrastructure Committee of the city council will consider funding for this on Thursday March 20th at 1:00 pm.

Updated Coastal Resilience Master Plan Available for Review
The Coastal Resilience Master Plan is an implementation action of Climate Resilient SD that develops nature-based solution concept level designs for six locations along San Diego's coast. The plan aims to mitigate sea level rise risk, enhance habitat, support coastal access and recreation, and protect historic and tribal cultural resources.
The updated draft
of the Coastal Resilience Master Plan incorporates feedback received during the public review period, which closed on Jan. 7, 2025. The plan will be presented to the Resiliency Advisory Board at their April 17 meeting before being considered by Environment Committee and City Council later this spring.
More information about the project, including previous informational webinars, can be found on the Coastal Resilience Master Plan project webpage.
