Any member of the Council may attend meetings of the Board of Directors but shall not be allowed to vote, make, or second motions. However, an attending member may make as many suggestions as allowed by the presiding Officer of the meeting.

San Diego Police Department - Northern Division staffing change. Captain Manansala commanding officer of the Northern Division has announced that effective January 7th LT. Rick Aguilar will be leaving the Northern Division to assume command of the SDPD SWAT unit. A big thank you to LT. Aguilar for his service to our community. He will be replaced by LT. Bryan Brecht. Lieutenant Brecht is a wealth of knowledge with regards to proactive policing operations, homeless and quality of life issues, and is a former Northern alumni as he served here as a Beach Sergeant a few years back.
