The Privacy Board will meet again at 5:30 on Thursday June 22nd.
The Mission Beach Town Council recently passed a resolution in favor of the use of Smart Streetlights and Automated License Plate Readers. These technologies if approved will be valuable investigative tools that will greatly help our undermanned police department investigate many crimes.
The opposition to these technologies are very organized and have been turning out a large of number of speakers against the technologies at previous Privacy Board meetings.
Please consider zooming into the meeting and voicing support for these valuable technologies. YOUR VOICE IS NEEDED, if we don't speak up and the city decides not to allow the SDPD to use these valuable technologies, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
